ExtranetPlus
Features
ExtranetPlus is a flexible, easy to use, simple to manage and
inexpensive extranet service. The service can be seamlessly integrated
with your existing web-site. Communications with your employees, clients and partners
is only a click away. The standard service provides a news service,
an information center for on-line documents and discussion forums; custom
services are also available
News - An extranet is a potentially powerful tool to disseminate
current information to selected clients and partners. However until
the advent of ExtranetPlus, this potential was usually not realized. Since
publishing information required the services of a webmaster, the
information was often out-of-date before it appeared on your extranet. It
was also a costly process. Now with ExtranetPlus publishing of
information on the extranet can be distributed across an organization to personnel with limited computer skills.
ExtranetPlus handles the formatting of articles into a newspaper-like
format and ensures that out-of-date articles are automatically removed
from your news pages. News can be separated into an extranet-wide
section and sections restricted to specific groups (for example
resellers). Each news section is configured
with authorized contributors.
Documents - Although almost all extranets provide a place where
users can access widely-used company documents, they provide almost no
services that contribute to the rapid addition and updating of these
documents. ExtranetPlus solves this problem by providing powerful
distributed content management tools. The first step in configuring
ExtranetPlus to receive your documents, is to define the classification of
documents (manuals, specifications, design documents, software, etc.) that
will reside on your extranet. All this without any HTML; and you're
ready to start publishing information to your extranet. Adding
content is as easy as filling out a simple form.
Discussion Forums - In order to facilitate communication in an
informal manner, a discussion forum facility is provided. Discussion
forums can be restricted to a single extranet group or
available across to all groups.
